Supreme Court's ruling on nationwide injunctions

I am actually out of town but I wanted to make sure you had my video on the blockbuster ruling that just came down from the Supreme Court. In a 6-3 ruling the conservative super-majority said that federal court judges do not (generally) have the power to issue nationwide injunctions that would block a president’s actions (or executive orders). The majority said injunctions have to be very narrow and generally can only apply to the plaintiffs who are suing. (Side Note: The ruling did NOT say a federal judge can NEVER issue a nationwide injunctions. There may be cases where a nationwide injunction is permissible.)

This is an incredible change to the pattern we’ve seen in the federal courts over the last few decades. This ruling will absolutely impact YOU especially because President Trump does so much by executive order. It’s also important to understand that this ruling will apply to ALL presidents after Trump. So, while you may be cheering a Trump victory today (no doubt this is a HUGE victory for President Trump), you must understand — this means the next Democrat who is elected president can do the exact same thing and may issue an order that you feel tramples on your rights. In that case, because of todays SCOTUS ruling, there will be very little a federal judge can do to stop it from happening nationwide.
